چکیده
Abstract Co-Cr alloys are frequently used for highly stressed components, especially in turbine and plant construction, due to their high resistance thermal mechanical stress, as well corrosive abrasive loads. Furthermore, they classified difficult-to-cut materials because of strength toughness low conductivity. However, Co, an increased cost supply risk can be observed recent years. Therefore, additive manufacturing (AM) offers significant economic advantages higher material efficiency regarding repair, modification, such components. Concerning inhomogeneity anisotropy the microstructure properties manufacturing-related stresses, a lot knowledge is still necessary use welding processes SMEs. In addition, subsequent machining, particularly contour milling, essential generate required complex contours surfaces. Hence, machining need coordinated complementary way, additional challenges arising milling heterogeneous hard-to-cut microstructures. Recently, it has been shown that modern, hybrid cutting processes, ultrasonic-assisted (US), improve situation. this investigation, initial alloy additionally modified with Ti Zr up 1 wt% aim enhance homogeneity and, thus, machinability. Hence investigation includes finish tests AM components comparison US conventional machining. Both modifications ultrasonic assistance exhibit effect on situation; example causes surface integrity milled surfaces compared milling.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Additively manufactured medical products – the FDA perspective
Additive manufacturing/3D printing of medical devices is becoming more commonplace, a 3D printed drug is now commercially available, and bioprinting is poised to transition from laboratory to market. Despite the variety of technologies enabling these products, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is charged with protecting and promoting the public health by ensuring these products are safe...
متن کاملOn the Physics of Machining Titanium Alloys: Interactions between Cutting Parameters, Microstructure and Tool Wear
The current work deals with the analysis of mechanisms involved during the machining process of titanium alloys. Two different materials were chosen for the study: Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-55531. The objective was to understand the effect of all cutting parameters on the tool wear behavior and stability of the cutting process. The investigations were focused on the mechanisms of the chip formation proc...

Ceramometal bond strength has played an important role for the replacement of gold alloys by nickel-chromium alloys in dentistry. This study evaluated the metal/porcelain bond strength of three ceramic systems (Vita VMK 88, Williams and Duceram) associated with three nickel-chromium alloys (Durabond, Lite Cast B and Resistal P) and one experimental cobalt-chromium-titanium alloy. Thirty cast cy...
